When the food truck trend began to gain traction in cities, I never imagined we’d end up transforming one from scratch. The opportunity came through my sister, who showed up with a secondhand trailer that looked like something out of a Tarantino movie. Its initial appearance was intimidating, but the challenge was as exciting as it was ambitious: turning it into a functional, aesthetically pleasing space with tons of personality… in just one week!
The process was a creative and technical sprint. From the electrical and plumbing installations to the paint and decorative details, every choice had to balance aesthetics and functionality. We incorporated awnings to make waiting more comfortable for customers, covered the ceiling and walls with decorative wallpaper to give it a chic feel, and maintained the essence of the original trailer. It was an intense challenge, but we were delighted with the result: a unique food truck, with a fun design and fully prepared to film and write its own road movie.
